What is NoVABB?

The Northern Virginia Beltway Bulletin started as a thought that all the very talented writers and artists in the Northern Virginia/Capital Beltway area, needed a place to showcase their work. The site is also intended to include articles and resources to help writers and artists further their pursuits. While NoVABB started in the Northern Virginia region, the hope is that will spread far and wide to be a resource and publisher for many more.

What can you submit?

We accept a variety of writing and artistic ventures. We have places for all kinds of fiction and non-fiction, as well as visual and audio arts. If you have an area of expertise where you would like to submit and article, please contact us and we can discuss the details. Also, if you have resources you would like to see included on the site, please feel free to send them. We don't offer a payment for articles or resource suggestions, but we do provide a small payment for submitted work. You will retain your rights to your pieces. Who runs this show?

The site was started by A.K. Child, with significant input from Maeghan Jo Kimball, and other members of the NoVABB team. You can find our bios and more about NoVABB on the About page.

What formats do we accepted?

For writing, please submit in a .doc/.docx compatible text. For visual art, please submit using .jpg, .png, ??. For audio art, please submit in .mp3/4. Because YouTube and sites like Twitch, we are not currently accepting video content. If there is a demand, we can reconsider this in the future. Please see our submission guidelines, and contract for more details.

Did someone say advertising?

That's right! We are extending advertising opportunities to the community. Only in this case, you get to pay us! What a deal? Right? Don't worry, the prices are cheap for the time being. If you would like to advertise with us, please contact us via our Admin address and we'll work with you on a great deal.
